I worked with Pepsi's public relations firm, Weber Shandwick, to design the early-stage prototypes for the new PepsiCo mobile site. Based off wireframes provided by Weber Shandwick, I designed the interface and created 12 screens showing the various application states.
Working as an Art Director for Sapient's Sallie Mae account, I was tasked with creating mood boards and two design directions for the SallieMae.com redesign. The client chose the second of the two directions and went live with the site shortly thereafter. The look and feel I created for the mood boards never made it into the final product but it was a fun exercise nonetheless.
I created this website comp while working onsite at Discovery Channel's corporate headquaters. I was tasked with creating the look and feel for a press kit website for the new TV show "Battleground Earth" starring Tommy Lee and Ludacris. I was given a logo and some shots from a photoshoot to work with and came up with the above.
In 2008, AKQA brought me on to help out with a tight deadline for a banner campaign for the new Fallout 3 video game. I worked with them again in 2009 to create another banner campaign for the new Avatar game. In both projects the banner ads were already storyboarded before I was brought on, so my role was to bring the static mock-ups to life using Flash. The big challenge of this project was meeting the strict file size requirements for the publishers while still delivering a high quality product.
Yodle, a NYC-based internet marketing company, hired me to help out with some template designs for their new product offerings. What started as a short three week project ended up expanding to over a year working together. We ended up rethinking their entire template design system and created vast improvements to their existing products. I ended up designing over 95 unique templates for Yodle's various market segments.
While working at Modea, Sharp came to us wanting a microsite to promote their new i-Elegance iPod music system. I designed the entire site's look and feel as well as built it out and developed it in Flash/ActionScript. An in-house 3D artist created a realistic model of the product and we came up with different animations to show off the i-Elegance's features in a floating 3D space.
The Lyric is a historic theatre located in Blacksburg, VA. While working for Modea, we offered to redesign their website pro bono to give back to the community. Someone from The Lyric had a collection of vintage theatre posters from the 1920's and 1930's that I was given access to. I scanned in the posters and created collages using them which laid the foundation for the design of the site.
I worked with RTCRM on a pitch for an interactive site for AARP. My task was to come up with a concept to display the site information in a fun, engaging way. These mock-ups represent an early idea we had.
While working at Modea, baby furniture company LaJobi came to us looking to update their outdated web presence. I created this comp and then we quickly built out their new site based on this design.
I worked with global interactive agency, Sapient, to design website comps for a new refreshment delivery service from Aramark called Javia.
Ironworks hired me as an Interactive Art Director to work on a high profile portal redesign for the US Department of the Interior. I was tasked with creating two visual concepts for the new portal design and to present them to key stakeholders at the DOI. It was a highly technical project with hundreds of pages of specs and requirements. The main challenge of the project was getting all the stakeholders to come to a consensus on the design. In the end, it was a success and everyone was happy with the final direction.
I created these website comps while working for Modea. Graco came to us needing a new microsite to promote the launch of their new Sweetpeace baby swing. These are early comps we used to pitch an idea to them.
This is a collection of my favorite projects from my three and a half years working at Freddie Mac as a Flash Designer for their in-house design team. The types of projects I worked on included microsites, product demos, banner ads, interactive invitations, holiday cards, screensavers and motion graphics for plasma screen displays. My role included everything from creative concept to development.
I try to redesign my portfolio site every few years. I use the redesign as an opportunity to learn new skills and take a break from client work. Over the years I've also had my work featured on many prominent design sites as well as published in several books and design magazines, including .net magazine and Web Designer magazine.
